USES:

Burn hardwood down to glowing embers before cooking for the cleanest wood-fired flavor.
Use different wood species to create unique flavor profiles.
Preheat the cooking grates for 10–15 minutes before grilling.
Keep a small fire burning to replenish hot coals during long cooks.
Raising or lowering the cooking grate is often more effective than adding or removing fuel to control cooking temperatures.
Empty ash regularly to maintain proper airflow and efficient combustion.

Interchangeable cooking surfaces allow you to prepare a wide variety of foods:

V-Grates: Channel grease away from the fire to help reduce flare-ups while creating authentic wood-fired flavor.
Round Grate: Ideal for traditional grilling of steaks, burgers, chicken, seafood, and vegetables.
Griddle Plate: Perfect for smash burgers, breakfast foods, fajitas, stir-fry, vegetables, and delicate foods.

CARE:

After Every Use

Allow the grill to cool completely.
Brush cooking grates while still warm.
Empty ash only after it has completely cooled.
Wipe exterior surfaces with a damp cloth.
Dry thoroughly before covering.

Grates

Clean with a grill brush or scraper.
Wash occasionally with warm, soapy water.
Dry completely before reinstalling.

Griddle

Scrape away food residue.
Wipe clean.
Apply a light coat of cooking oil after each use to prevent rust.

Firebox

Remove ash regularly.
Excess ash restricts airflow and reduces cooking performance.

How difficult is assembly?

Every Tizona ships mostly assembled. Expect to attach a few components like shelves, wheels, or handles — most owners are set up within 30–45 minutes using the included tools.
